Medea – the woman who left her homeland forever out of love for Jason and followed him to Greece. She bore him two children, but after a few years she has to make way for another woman, the king's younger daughter. Medea decides to take revenge and commits the worst act a mother can commit... The complexity and ambivalence of the Medea’s character causes her actions being out of simple explanations. She is neither victim nor perpetrator, perhaps both at the same time. It is no wonder that she has for centuries inspired creators to bring their own distinctive take on the myth and reveal what is disturbing on the human.
