The mission of the NDM Ballet Studio is to provide children with comprehensive physical education and dance development. Our teaching is focused primarily on classical dance, folk dance, gymnastic dance, and improvisation.
The NDM Ballet Preparatory School primarily trains the next ballet generation so that its top students can pursue further studies at vocational dance schools followed by a potential professional career. Furthermore, in connection with this activity, it also fulfils its assigned tasks arising from the operational needs of the current repertoire, i.e., it prepares children for children’s roles in opera and ballet productions.
Naturally, we seek out every exceptional talent and rejoice in them. However, our main goal is to make as many children as possible passionate about (not only) classical dance and music. Our motto is: Develop the talent you possess. The forest would be dead silent if only the best singers sang.
We believe that whatever we become passionate about and acquire as children, we will carry with us as the foundation of our personality later in life. We regard the love of music and dance as a valuable asset. Moreover, we try to encourage other personal qualities in our children: an honest attitude towards all their activities, respect and tolerance for themselves and others, humility, determination, esteem, and self-esteem. We are confident that our studio is training not only future dancers but also future audiences and lifelong fans of ballet in Ostrava.
