Born in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, she studied at the Korean National Institute for the Gifted in Arts from 2015 to 2019. She then continued her education at Seonhwa Arts Middle School, graduating in 2020, and completed her studies at Seoul Arts High School in 2023.
In 2024, Hyewon joined the Semperoper Ballett in Dresden under the artistic direction of Marcelo Gomes, where she appeared in productions including The Sleeping Beauty by Aaron Watkin (dancing the roles of one of Princess Aurora’s friends and the Woodland Fairy), Romeo and Juliet by David Dawson, and Serenade by George Balanchine. In 2025, Hyewon became a member of the Companhia Nacional de Bailado in Lisbon.
Hyewon has participated in numerous international competitions. In 2018, she won the junior category at the Youth America Grand Prix Korea. In 2021, she placed seventh at the Seoul International Dance Competition. The following year, she took second place in the senior category of YAGP Korea and was also named a finalist at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne.
Since the 2025/2026 season, Hyewon has been a member of NDM Ballet as a corps de ballet member with soloist obligations.
