The Ballet studio was established in 1979 under the chief of Ballet company Albert Janíček. At first, around 20 children attended the classes, later the number of children increased and therefore the studio devided into two groups. In the passed few years the studio has even more members and from 2007 it is devided into three groups.
Children from the Ballet Studio have danced in the productions of the Ballet company of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, e. g. The Little Beatles, From fairy tale to fairy tale, Aimless Care, Sleaping Beauty. Besides ballet performances the children create their own shows (e. g. Story about animals and bandits from Petrov or a ballet narration by Bohuslav Martinů Who is the most powerful in the world).
Instructors who teached in the Ballet Studio were in particular Helena Hurychová, Z. Štarková, Libor Bernklau, Libuše Kuklová, Tamara Černá, Olga Borisová, Irina Nazarenko, Filip Skála, Naďa Andrlová, Petra Kováčová, Veronika Beňová, Barbora Kaufmannová, Roberts Skujenieks.
The concept of the Ballet Studio is based on complex motional and dancing developement of children and their possible preparation for the studies at the dance conservatory. The classes are focused mostly on classical dance, folk dance, dance gymnastics and improvisation.
Today the ballet studio functions uder the patronage of the Ballet company of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre and the classes take place twice a week for every group at ballet assembly rooms of the Antonín Dvořák Theatre.

middle group – Monday, Wednesday 15.30 – 17.00
the eldest group – Thusday, Thursday 15.30 – 17.00
