TEODORA MARTINEZ - BIOGRAPHY

She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  When she was 5, she moved to Barcelona, Spain, where she received her first dance education.  From 2007 she continued her study at the Centre Integrat de Música i Dansa (IEA Oriol Martorell).

From 2012-2014 she studied at the dance conservatory Institut del Teatre, CPD (Conservatori Professional de Dansa) and in 2017 she graduated from the Corella Dance Academy in Barcelona.  She further extended her education with courses and workshops with teacher Hervé Costa, the director of Obrador de Moviments (contemporary dance, choreographic workshops), in dance classes led by teacher Miku Fukumits and in summer courses organized by the Eko Dance International School under the direction of Pompea Santoro. She gained further valuable creative experience at the English National Ballet School in London and Le Pôle National Supérieur de Danse Rosella Hightower (PNSD) in Cannes-Mougins, France.

From 2019-2021 she accepted an engagement with the Ballet de Barcelona.
In 2019, she was selected as one of the top 12 dancers in the Youth America Grand Prix Barcelona competition.

In 2022/2023 she became a permanent guest dancer at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre.
