“I will die when I want to do so! I am the king, I am the one who decides!“
 
The main hero, King Berenger I, has to face a cruel fact: he has the last hour of his life. The landscape around the castle is fading off, there are no serfs, the heating is getting colder ...It is time for the recapitulation of king’s several years-long way of life. Only nonsense and empty phrases come out of his mouth. We were little and our end will be little as well. Nevertheless, the dying king enters a devilishly tense confrontation with death and in the last moment he resolutely exclaims: “I will die when I want to do so! I am the king, I am the one who decides!“ A brilliantly written existential farce by a master of absurd drama which is a magnificent metaphorical picture of ending human life”.
