BERNARDO COSTA - BIOGRAPHY

He was born in Paredes, Portugal. He began actively attending dance classes at the Academy de Dança do Vale de Sousa in nearby Porto (2011-2013), where he later enrolled in full-time studies (2013-2017).

From 2017-2019 he studied at the Ballet Conservatory under the guidance of Cuban teacher Annarella Roura Sanchez. In 2019 he continued in education at the State Ballet School in Berlin, which he completed successfully, obtaining the Bachelor of Arts degree in 2022. During his study, he had the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker of the ballet ensemble Staatsballett Berlin and he participated in various educational courses and workshops of classical, modern, and contemporary dance, acrobatics, or step - e.g. summer courses of National Dance Conservatory in Lisbon, Royal Ballet School in England, Opéra national de Paris in France and workshops with Eric Gauthier or Carlos Miró.

In 2022/2023 he joined the ballet ensemble of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre as a corps de ballet with soloist obligations.
