Maëva Cotton was born in Antibes, France, where she began her dance education at the Conservatoire National in Nice. She later advanced her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris and completed her training at the prestigious École Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower.

In 2011, Maëva joined Ballet Nice Méditerranée under the direction of Éric Vu-An, where she rose to the rank of demi-soloist. From 2018 to 2021, she was a member of the Royal Swedish Ballet, directed by Nicolas Le Riche, performing as part of the corps de ballet. She then continued her career with the ballet company of the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc, Czech Republic, where she performed as a demi-soloist under the direction of Michal Štípa until the end of the 2023/2024 season.

Maëva’s repertoire spans an impressive array of roles in the classical ballet canon. She has performed demi-solo parts in works choreographed by Éric Vu-An, Serge Lifar, and Natalia Makarova. Her versatility extends to contemporary works as well, including Sinfonietta by Jiří Kylián, The Trial by Jiří Bubeníček, and Shift by Alexander Ekman, among others. She has also graced the stage in pieces by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Maurice Béjart, and Uwe Scholz.

Maëva’s talent has been recognized with notable awards. In 2016, she received the Positano Premia la Danza award, named after Léonide Massine, as well as the Prix Ballet 2000, named after Maya Plisetskaya.

Since the 2024/2025 season, Maëva has been a demi-soloist with the NDM Ballet.
