Young Slovak tenor Tomáš Juhás made his Slovak National Theatre Opera Bratislava debut in 2002. During the following years, he became a hard-to-miss persona of the opera and concert season in Slovakia and abroad. (E.g. Paris Opera– Bastille, Teatro Real in Madrid). To name just some of his signature roles: Nemorino (Donizetti: L’elisir d‘amore), Malcolm and Alfredo (Verdi: Macbeth and La traviata), Rodolfo (Puccini: La bohéme), Lensky (Tchaikovsky: Eugen Onegin), Boris (Janáček: Katya Kabanova), etc. He also sang the role of Jenik at the concert production of Smetana’s Bartered Bride at the Barbican Hall in London with BBC Symphony Orchestra and maestro Jiří Bělohlávek (a live CD recording of the concert has been released).

He performed in Netherlands, in festivals in Solothurn (Switzerland), Miskolc (Hungary), Pafos Aphrodite Festival in Cyprus (La Bohéme), in Musikverein Vienna (ORF Wien, Hungary and Slovak Philharmonic Orchestras, Beethoven: Symphony No. 9), in Suntory Hall Tokyo he performed in Antonín Dvořák oratorio Stabat mater under the baton of Jakub Hrůša. In May 2012 he was invited to sing in Verdi’s La traviata at Wiener Festwochen.
