Amélie Saadia

At the age of seventeen, Amélie Saadia receivedPrix du Plus Jeune Espoir in the category of singers in Paris, at the Union Française des Artistes Musiciens, in 2011 she got the Austria Barock Academy award and the DAAD Prize (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst ) of the Arts University Berlin where she studied singing. She appeared at the stage, besides others, in the roles of Concepción in Maurice Ravel´s The Spanish Hour (Hebbel Theatre Berlin), Hansel in Humperdinck´s Hansel and Gretel (Dresden Chamber Opera) and Polly in John Gay´s The Beggar's Opera (Opernale 2012). In the Berlin Konzerthaus she sang the solo in Pergolesi´s Stabat Mater (2011) and in Rossini´s Petite Messe Solennelle (2013, Young Euro Classic Festival).  She performed at music festivals in France and Turkey (4th Bodrum Barock Festival 2013). Since the season 2013/14, she has been  a member of the Heidelberg Theatre ensemble where she has recently played the role of the Lover in the German premiere of the opera Rumor by Christian Jost.
