You will hear arias and overturas from operas Le nozze di Figaro, Cosí fan tutte and Don Giovanni.

The bass-baritone Adam Plachetka was born in Prague in 1985 where he graduated from the Prague Conservatory with professor Luděk Löbl. He is the winner of Dušek Mozart competition, Competition of sacred and concert music in Kroměříž, Contest show of Czech Conservatories in Pardubice, Competition "Prague Singer" and the International singing contest of Antonín Dvořák in Karlovy Vary where he also got the award of the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, the prize of Vilém Zítek and the prize of publishing house Editio Bärenreiter Prague. In 2005 he had his debut in the National Theatre in Prague in the Four-notes opera by Tom Jones. Since then he has performed withing the National Theatre Mícha (The Bartered Bride), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Publio (La clemenza di Tito), Jake Wallace and Larkens (La fanciulla del west), Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) and Don Giovanni. In the State Opera Prague he peforms Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Papageno (Die Zauberflöte). Adam Plachetka performs also at concert stages with many Czech orchestras (Czech Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, Pilsen Philharmonic, Prague Chamber Philharmonic, Brno Philharmonic, Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK and the Symphony Orchestra of Karlovy Vary). He performs also baroque music with Camerata antiqua Seoul, Collegium Marianum, Ensemble Baroque, Solamente Naturali. He collaborates with conductors like Christoph Böhm, Alessandro De Marchi, Enrico Dovico, John Fiore, Asher Fisch, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ghiaurov, Daniel Harding, Tomáš Netopil, Caspar Richter, Robin Ticciati, Gulliaume Tourniaire, Franz Welser-Möst or Marco Zambelli. He performs in productions by stage directors Claus Guth, Ursel a Karl-Ernsta Herrmann, Piere Liugi Pizzi, Philipp Stölzl a Jossi Wieler. He has been a regural guest at the Salzburger Festspiele (Benvenuto Cellini, Le nozze di Figaro, Rusalka, Don Giovanni). Since the season 2010/2011 Adam Plachetka has been the soloist of the Vienna State Opera.

Mozart Gala at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre will be his first performance here.
