OperaVision is a streaming platform that allows musical theatre enthusiasts to enjoy live performances and recordings from opera houses across Europe from the comfort of their homes, all for free. OperaVision is a project by the Opera Europa association and is funded by the European Union's Creative Europe program.
With content from 125 opera houses in 36 countries, OperaVision offers a wealth of free performances. Every week, the platform adds new streams and videos, inviting viewers worldwide to explore the magic of opera, operetta, and ballet.
In response to the positive reception of the Smetana Opera Cycle Ostrava 2024 by both local and international audiences, the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre has decided to share recordings of our productions of Bedřich Smetana's The Kiss and The Two Widows on OperaVision. The Kiss will not be in the repertoire next season, and The Two Widows will have its last performance in next year’s January in Pilsen. However, thanks to OperaVision, you can enjoy both productions anytime for six months starting from the second half of July.
