IT’S BARBER’S BIRTHDAY!!!

Premiere Feb 20, 2016, 6.30 PM - Antonín Dvořák Theatre

logoInformace
The Barber of Seville (Il barbiere di Siviglia), a two-act opera from 1816, is allegedly the most famous comic piece by Gioacchino Rossini. The story of a servant Figaro and his master, resonating in Rosssini’s parlando, inspired Ostrava’s native Jaromír Nohavica. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Barber’s first staging, Nohavica comes up with a brand new Czech libretto translation. And what’s more, the popular folk singer and song writer will also host the evening of the opera scenes. Ostrava, get ready for the Barber!!!
