| Stage director Tomáš Svoboda Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everyone had someone they can trust? Someone who would help with life decisions? Orgon did find someone like that. Ever since then, Tartuffe has been the embodiment of goodness and a role model in his eyes. Tartuffe is a guru! It doesn’t matter that he actually just pretends to be like that and actually cares only about Orgon’s bank account. Stage director Tomáš Svoboda created a new interpretation of the famous comedy by Moliere. Using funny dialogues, satirical portrayal of hypocrisy, he warns against unconditional trust and blind faith. The play is set in a recording studio, where rocker Orgon is getting older, where he lives and creates with his employees. Tartuffe is a spiritual guru.
