A peaceful marriage of Mr Marjavel and his second wife Hermance is even more peaceful, when the family friend Ernest stays in their house. Uncle Jobelin has also stronger bond to the Marjavels than it seems for the first time. The change of this peaceful family situation occurs when the servant Krampach, a redneck, comes to Alsace with his beautiful, young wife and contributes to unexpected and crazy situations to happen. Moreover, current maid Petunia cannot be dismissed, because she knows some secrets. However, the question is what the coachman knows. And who knows what has happened to former Mrs Marvavel. The predecestor of Georges Feydeau and the master of the French farce at his best!
