Lada Bělašková was born in Příbor. In her hometown, she attended a primary school and then the Masaryk Grammar School. After five years at the grammar school, she started studying music and drama at the Janáček Conservatory and Grammar School in Ostrava. She graduated performing in the play Norway Today directed by Josef Novák Wajda. During her studies, she was guest-starring at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre and in 2004 she has become a member of the theatre’s drama company.
She has appeared in numerous plays at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, some of her most significant and favourite roles are Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion, Lucietta in The Chioggia Scuffles (Poprask na laguně), Mína Škodová in Public Pleasure or Board Homestead, three roles in the play Moscow – Petushki, Eva Lukawská in The Full Monty, or Hippolyta/Elf in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her other roles are Sarah (Anna) in Ivanov, Marie in End of Carnival, Masha in The Seagull, Thea Elvsted in Hedda Gabler, Sylvia in La Dolce Vita,Lucy in The Threepenny Opera, Madame de Tourvel in Dangerous Liaisons, Miss Barbora Terebová in Saturnin or Alena Prokopová (Bejbyna/Baby Girl) in Big Beat. By the time of the premiere of The Cousin from Nowhere where she has performed the servant Manča, she was preparing for the role of Maryška in Cutting it Short.
She has also guest-starred in the ballet company’s untraditional choreography The Strangler directed by Nataša Novotná, which is a part of the ballet performance called Homecomings.
She has also worked for the operetta/musical company – she has appeared in the roles of Káča (Sharon), the main role in the musical Finian’s Rainbow, or Annie in the original Czech musical The Phantom of London and she has also appeared in the same-named musical in Prague.
During the last years we could have seen her at The Summer Shakespeare Festival - for example in the plays Love's Labour's Lost or As You Like It.
She likes singing, dancing, playing piano, riding a horse or driving a car. She loves travelling and food (chocolate especially).
