THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME

Simon Stephens, Mark Haddon

Premiere Mar 28, 2014, 7.00 PM - Rehearsal room / Antonín Dvořák Theatre

Becoming an adult, becoming a man

In 2003 a British author Mark Haddon wrote a novel about a boy with Asperger syndrome. His “innocent” investigation of the death of his neighbour’s dog leads to very surprising findings that affect everyone including him. Nine years later Simon Stephens produced a stage adaptation of this award-winning mystery novel that caught the interest of those not only in Great Britain. The adaptation by Janusz Klimsza presents the story of Christopher Boone as a journey of growing up with all its traps, unwanted information, selfishness, but also humorous remarks and analyses of current situations and stereotypes from an entirely new angle.
