In this gripping courtroom drama, renowned German writer Ferdinand von Schirach explores the limits of personal freedom and the ethical boundaries of medicine. An elderly man takes legal action for the right to die, prompting a rigorous debate between doctors, lawyers, theologians, and the patient himself. Each voice carries weight in a complex examination of dignity, faith, humanity, and what society deems acceptable within its moral framework. How do we perceive death — and how does our perspective shift when viewed through different lenses: spiritual, ethical, legal, and personal? The audience becomes the jury, asked to weigh a profound moral dilemma. This powerful production raises questions for which there are no easy answers — but they are questions worth asking.
