Another famous piece by an equally famous author, among whose work we are performing, for instance, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It was one summer night when the famous librettist Tim Rice tuned into a radio show telling the story of Eva Duarte de Perón. What he heard sounded like a Cinderella fairy-tale that came true.  The musical Evita tells the story of a brilliant and charismatic woman. It tells the story of her journey through life: from an average actress playing secondary roles to the leader of a state; from an illegitimate daughter to the wife of Argentinian dictator Juan Peron and the idol of the nation. It is a story of a controversial saint who saddened the Argentinians with her early death at the age of 33. The theme song Don’t cry for me, Argentina, has quickly become a worldwide hit and still today is considered one of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s biggest hits. 

The musical EVITA is performed in agreement with The Really Useful Group Ltd.
