Máté was born in 2002 in Sopron, Hungary. He began his dance education at the Győr Dance and Fine Arts School, where he studied from 2012 to 2020. Máté furthered his training at the Hungarian Dance University, earning a bachelor’s degree in classical ballet in 2023.

During his studies, Máté participated in numerous workshops and courses that expanded his artistic and technical repertoire. Notable experiences include a workshop with the Italian dance company Aterballetto in 2023, a Martha Graham technique course led by Penny Diamantopoulou in 2022, and a workshop with acclaimed Italian choreographer Jacopo Godani in the same year. Additionally, Máté honed his skills in contemporary ballet under the guidance of Carola Sicherl and Tamás Darai, dancers with the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company. From 2020 to 2022, he also regularly attended the summer intensive program at the Hungarian Dance University.

Máté’s professional achievements reflect his growing artistry and versatility. In 2024, he performed in I Am Blood, a production by renowned Flemish choreographer and director Jan Fabre. He also collaborated with the Tellabor Dance Company on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, choreographed by Kulcsár Noémi. During the 2023/2024 season, he took part in the Feledi Project at the Cairo Opera House.

In the 2024/2025 season, Máté became a permanent guest artist with the NDM Ballet.
