The 20th anniversary of foundation of the Operatic studio of the NMST will be celebrated by a truly Czech performance – Kytice by K. J. Erben arranged by Pavel Helebrand - an established co-partner of the Opera studio. He and the head of the studio Lenka Živocká have chosen five ballads – Kytice (Bouquet), Vrba (Willow), Vodník (The Water Goblin), Zlatý kolovrat (The Golden Spinning Wheel), and Svatebí košile (Wedding Shirts), which they adapted into emotive stage scenes. The old stories come alive for the current generation of spectators through young people who play the main characters.
