The first theatre version of this classic novel of the 20th century on the Czech stage portraying the thirties in America, which, with all its gloss and misery, is slightly evocative of today’s world. An opulent, endless party seems like a great way to escape the crisis. But who is hosting this party? Is the mysterious rich man really the only one untouched by the crises? Gatsby is the kind of man who earned everything, every penny, every achievement thanks to himself and himself only. But love is not that easy to earn. Gatsby’s crises don’t concern money; it concerns the illusion of endless love.
