FALSTAFF
If someone tried to draw up seven wonders of musical world Verdi’s Falstaff would be among them – a theoretician has declared. In this piece two genius artistic personalities have met, two masters of their field: William Shakespeare, the greatest playwright and poet of all times, and Giuseppe Verdi who had one of the best librettos of opera history: characters, stories and motives from the The Merry Wives of Windsor and Henry IV in the transcription by librettist and composer Arrigo Boito.
