OVERVIEW

Michael Prostějovský has been a permanent member of the operetta/musical company of the National Moravian – Silesian Theatre since 2010, mainly as a translator of foreign musicals. He has contributed to the works such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cats, SunsetBoulevard or Rebecca. He is also in charge of rewriting the musical Marguerite which started a way of the operetta/musical company to the contemporary world musical of superlatives.  He has also created lyrics to the original work The Phantom of London which emerged from the initiative of the National Moravian – Silesian Theatre and it was successfully performed in the course of four years. Apart from other things, it won three prizes at Deagu International Musical Festival in South Korea – the main prize (Grand Prize) as the best musical of the festival. However, Michael Prostějovský has also made hundreds of lyrics to the songs which used to dominate the music charts. In the first part of the concert you will hear these hits and in the second part you can enjoy famous musical melodies, especially in the interpretation of the members of the company but guests as well.
