AGNIESZKA BOCHENEK-OSIECKA - BIOGRAPHY

Agnieszka Bochenek-Osiecka 

Soprano Angieszka Bochenek-Osiecka graduated from the Academy of Music in Katowice, where she afterwards acted in Händel’s opera Xerxes and Mozart’s opera Così fan tutte. In 1998 she has become a soloist of Camerata Silesia company, with which she concerts in Poland and abroad. She is a laureate of several vocal competitions (Bytom, Priego de Cordoba). In 2002, she was an absolute winner of the Antonín Dvořák’s International vocal competition in Karlovy Vary and she is a laureate of the Opera Mozart Prague award for the best performance of Mozart’s aria and a laureate of the award of the National Moravian-Silesian theatre in Ostrava. In NM theatre’s opera, she debuted as Gilda in Verdi’s opera Rigoletto in February 2003 and since March 2004 she has performed there – already as a soloist in permanent engagement – as Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Magic Flute, as Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata, Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen, Sophie in Massenet’s Werther, in Martinů’s Ariadna or as Juliet in Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet.

Agnieszka Bochenek-Osiecka hosted in the National theatre in Prague, National theatre in Brno and at the State Opera Prague. In summer 2004 and 2005, she performed as Gilda on the opera festival in Loket’s amphitheatre. She cooperates with Baltic State opera in Gdansk, with Torun chamber orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, with Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra and Silesian Philharmonic.
